چکیده

The association between humans and cats (Felis catus) is well known. This domestic animal also known for its malodorous urine feces. complexity of the odorous feces impacts human life by triggering sensory organ in a negative way. objective this research was to identify volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) associated odors cat using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry simultaneous analysis fresh aged samples. solid-phase microextraction (SPME) technique used preconcentrate VOCs emitted from or Twenty-one compounds were identified as urine, whereas 64 A contrasting temporal impact observed emission On aging, increased 34 detected stale only 12 Not all malodorous; some had pleasant hedonic smell nose. Although trimethylamine, low-molecular-weight acids, ketones contributors odor extent, phenolic aromatic heterocyclic N generated most intense substantially contributed overall malodor, study. work might be useful formulate remediation approaches reduce impacts.

Comparison between dynamic headspace and headspace solid-phase microextraction for gas chromatography of BTEX in urine.

The aim of this study was to compare two extraction procedures: dynamic headspace-purge and trap (PT) and headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) for gas chromatographic determination of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and isomeric xylenes (BTEX) in urine with photoionization (PID) and mass spectrometric (MS) detection, respectively. Both methods showed linearity in the range of interes...

Analysis of the volatile components of five Turkish Rhododendron species by headspace solid-phase microextraction and GC-MS (HS-SPME-GC-MS).

Volatile constituents of various solvent extracts (n-hexane, CH2Cl2, H2O) of 15 different organs (leaves, flowers, fruits) of five Rhododendron species (Ericaceae) growing in Turkey were trapped with headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) technique and analyzed by GC-MS. A total of 200 compounds were detected and identified from organic extracts, while the water extracts contained only...

Headspace solid-phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-olfactometry analysis of volatile compounds in pineapple breads.

Sensorial analysis of pineapple breads (conventionally baked, Cpb; fully baked frozen, Fpb and partially baked, Ppb) showed no significant differences in terms of aroma and taste. On the contrary, the scores for the overall quality between the partially baked and conventionally baked breads showed significant (p < 0.05) differences. At the same time, headspace analysis using a solid-phase micro...

Analysis of Odorants in Marking Fluid of Siberian Tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) Using Simultaneous Sensory and Chemical Analysis with Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction and Multidimensional Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry-Olfactometry.

Scent-marking is the most effective method of communication in the presence or absence of a signaler. These complex mixtures result in a multifaceted interaction triggered by the sense of smell. The objective was to identify volatile organic compound (VOC) composition and odors emitted by total marking fluid (MF) associated with Siberian tigers (Panthera tigris altaica). Siberian tiger, an enda...

Analysis of Blood Alcohol by Headspace with Simultaneous GC-FID and MS

■ Introduction Determination of Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) has been a standard analytical method in criminal labs for many years. The typical instrument configuration consists of a static headspace instrument for sample introduction, followed by gas chromatography (GC) with two dissimilar capillary columns for separation, and two Flame Ionization Detectors (FIDs) for detection and quantitation...
